7am hit this morning and I was up like a flash. Why? Well, let me tell you now... I was on my way to the Netherlands!!! Yey!! I have been looking forward to this time away for quite a while now and now it was finally here...
Looking at myself in the mirror - I thought, mmmmhhh, this Osama-beard has to go!! I look rough. So, my trusted clippers came out and I sat down to trim myself good. And what I good job I would like to think I did... Looking slick, I got my passport and headed to my mate Gazza to take me to the airport. Being a VIP that I am, I was whisked off to the boarding gate in my customised transporter - wheelchair to be precise... You see, the airline insisted that I use a wheelchair after I told them that I had a bionic leg. This meant: Fast Track through security, duty-free (prevents spending) and boarding - I was the first to board the plane. That's what I call VIP!
Big-up to the KLM peeps. The journey was nice... and so friendly as well. 50 minutes later, I found myself in Schipol Airport and again being whisked off in a nice buggy, next to these Americans. Nice couple they were - from Washington DC.
Did you know: NL Police use Segways!! Sooo sooo cool.
Stellie and Joel were there waiting to meet me and it has been a blast since!! Got on the train and went to Rotterdam via Leiden. Their 2nd class is like Virgin Trains' 1st class. UK is being robbed by VT! For now, I leave you with some pictures for your enjoyment...
Peace! MTM.
