Check us out White Water Rafting below ...

Day 2

Well, today is Sabbath Day and we woke up early (well, as early as I could) to prepare to worship at the local SDA church - Crieff. Me and Pam had checked it out last night on the website and it was only 15 mins drive away - so not far to go...

On time (depending whose watch you are using) we rolled up to Crieff SDA and it was RAINING!! I had been dreading the Scottish rain as I know it can pour! But thank God it was not pouring... it was just steadily showering... The scenery was beautiful and the building looks very nice. I also saw a sign for Scottish ADRA, so it must be an important building.

As we walked inside, there were a few scattered people here and there... It was not full but there was enough people. For a building that size, justice was not done! As we greeted the Ushers, we went to sit down and lo, we were sat right in front of our host's son - Daniel. He was there with his girlfriend and we just thought what God's work to have us stay at a place with SDA connections.

After the service, we were treated to a bountiful lunch and not being shy with my food, I soon got stuck in. There was loads and the desert was even better! The people were absolutely wonderful and warm and we left feeling very fellowship'd... lol...

We decided to make it a restful day and spent the rest of the day at home, enjoying the Scottish rain (well, I wasn't gonna go anywhere with that rain!)

Day 3

Today is Sunday!!
Normally, this would be my lie-in day and I wouldnt get out of bed till 1pm or so... (I work hard, so I'm allowed). After looking at our Itinerary and taken advice from the brothers and sisters from Crieff, we decided to head WEST. We were told first-hand experience that to experience Scotland - one has to head WEST and NORTH. North was a bit of a journey, so we decided to go west towards OBAN. You will notice Oban is right on the West of Scotland, just under Fort William.

Off we went (after a hearty breakfast) and the scenery was FANTASTIC!!! As we had ALL the time in the world, we took some detours and it was good... Rather just drive straight to Oban, we took our time and found some Falls and Rivers and the GREEN was just out of this world. The sun shined and birds were singing... (OK, let me not get all melodramatic).

Eventually we got to Oban (small town, so not much to say there) apart from that we got a chance to be up close and personal with a couple of ferries. These are the ones that carry people and their vehicles to other nearby islands and we wished we had had enough time to book a ferry and maybe go to Mull. Nevermind, next time!

Day 4

Today is Day Four and we have planned to go to a Theme Park near Glasgow... Long drive, but the view should justify it... Pam having made a wonderful breakfast, we were off... and lo and behold, we find it - - - CLOSED!! Aarrrrgghhhh!! You must be kidding me! How can a Theme Park be closed during the week? Krusty Scottish Theme Parks...

Not to be disheartened, we made our way to Glasgow (might as well, since we are close to it). After several turns and sightseeing, we decided to do one of those City Sightseers Tour on top of an open bus... Finding parking was a nightmare, but we got there... The tour was great, as we got to see a lot of Glasgow (but to be honest, I was not impressed with Glasgow).

Amazingly, we got to go to the OLDEST house in Glasgow - Provand's Lordship. Apparently its been standing there since 1471 and it still looked steady! What amazed me was finding a plasma TV as one of its interiors - mmmhhh, I dont know if its me, but I dont think they had plasma TV's at that time... lol..

Pam wanted us to grab some food, so we went to this Xscape place and found these Massage Chairs and thought we'd try them... OH MY GOSH! They were amazing!!! I didnt want to leave - I was there frantically looking for more £1 coins to put in...

And then we drove home... lol

Day 5

Off to Edinburgh Castle! I was excited cause I was gonna see the Big Daddy of the castles and hopefully the Scottish Crown Jewels too (maybe see if I can get a couple of brothers to pull a heist there - just joking - dont send the MI5 to my house!!)

As we got there, there were these steps - must have been millions of them... I had to climb them and it was not easy! I was panting like a dog on heat when I got to the top and I had no mercy... Pam can tell you how I was... Four times I had to go up and down those steps! The nice man at the entrance kindly arranged for a car to take me to the top of the castle (as the hill is steep!) We even met this old man who confessed that he had met the Mary Queen of Scots in one of the rooms in the castle! Strange - whatever makes you sleep grandpa...

After a few stunning shots and views, we had to leave as our parking was running out... only to find we had already got a Parking Ticket!! Can you believe it? Anyways, Pam stayed behind to look at the Tartan Museum and she found this place where we could get our photos in a kilt... She convinced me to don a kilt and take a photo in front of a viewing audience... Nice... But the pictures were great and Pam LOVED them! I looked like a proper Scottish Shaka Zulu...

Day 6

Today was AMAZING!!!Trully AMAZING!

We went WHITE WATER RAFTING! How good is that? This was one of the best experiences I have EVER had and I would recommend it to anyone! The weather was perfect and the company even better! Me and Pam had a fantastic time and I think the pictures should tell the story... I did go in the water a couple of times but it was great!

Day 7

We were soooo knackered, it was time to come home...

Scotland - you have been GREAT and FANTASTIC!!!
